Nestled in the heart of

Milnthorpe

Milnthorpe is a vibrant Cumbrian village.

Steps away from Pear Tree Cottage is the village square, which boasts several delicious restaurants, local shops, cafes and pubs. On a Friday, it transforms into a local outdoor market – featuring bake stalls and local artisanal cuisine.

Speaking of food… Feeling fancy? L’Enclume, the 2** Michelin star restaurant run by Simon Rogan (from the BBC’s Great British Menu) is in nearby Cartmel – just 20 minutes drive away. And closer to home (literally a stones throw away) there’s an award-winning pie shop and Indian restaurant, plus pub grub. There’s also the scrumptious Beetham Nurseries garden cafe within walking distance, as well as the Wheatsheaf which dates back to 1609. To name just a handful!

“We really enjoyed our stay. The house was warm, cosy, stylish and functional. Great location right in the middle of Milnthorpe. I would recommend to friends and family.”
